From September 2018, the University of Lisbon will teach the Armenian language.
The teaching of the Armenian language at the largest university in Portugal will be carried out with the financial support of the Galust Gulbenkian Foundation. The course is designed for two semesters.
According to the dean of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lisbon, Miguel Tamena, at the Faculty did not just offer to study another language, interest in the Armenian language is associated with the ability to touch the ancient culture and very important culture.
Recently in Portugal appeared the book “Armenia: People and Identity”, that tells about the history and culture of the Armenian people.
