What documents can be apostilled in Ukraine?

An apostille is a special stamp or mark that is affixed to documents for international recognition. With its help, foreign authorities can be sure that they are dealing with an official and valid document from another country.

In order to apostille a document, it must be an original or a notarized copy. In addition, documents submitted for apostille must not contain corrections, crossed-out words, corrections, or other defects. In Ukraine, it is possible to apostille documents issued only in Ukraine; documents from other countries cannot be apostilled.

More information about documents for an apostille:

  1. Educational documents: From university diplomas to school certificates, all these documents may be required for studying or working abroad.
  2. Family status documents: If you are planning to move to another country with your entire family, birth certificates, marriage certificates, or even divorce certificates may be required for visa or registration purposes.
  3. Notarized copies: These can be powers of attorney, purchase agreements, and other documents that you may need abroad.
  4. Documents from institutions and companies: For example, income statements, employment records, or even letters of recommendation.
